Artist Statement;
This body of work marks a subtle yet meaningful departure from my usual painting practice. While my authentic technique, defined by stipples, layered brush marks and a physical build-up of surface, remains present, I allowed it to transform in response to Peru itself.
The landscapes, ceremonies, and spiritual encounters of the Sacred Valley and Lake Titicaca asked for a different kind of listening, one that moved fluidly between abstraction and representation.
Each painting holds both: recognizable forms emerging from intuitive gestures, and abstract passages that speak to sensation, memory, and the unseen. This balance reflects my experience of the journey grounded in real places and events, yet deeply visionary.
Rather than documenting my experiences in Peru, these works translate its energy, honoring a living dialogue between ancient land, spiritual tradition, and personal transformation
