James Kroner, our 42nd Annual Juried Art Show Judge is an internationally known artist and former resident of Weaverville and a long time friend of the Highland Art Center. James has accepted the role of jurying the upcoming show and will travel here to make his selections which will be announced LIVE at 4:00 PM on October 3rd, so save the date! 

James' work is exhibited in galleries from the west coast to the east coast and is most known for his tonalist cityscapes. He earned his Masters in Fine Arts Painting, at the Academy of Art University in 2013 with thesis "The Energy in Nature" that launched his career in the subject of cityscapes, though he loves to paint a variety of subject matter. Teaching nationally and abroad, James offers 3-day and uo to two week immersive painting workshops around Europe. To learn more about him as well as his workshops visit www.jameskroner.com.
