" Their Stories " 2D Works With Varying Media By Denise Granger Kerbs

  • Highland Art Center 691 Main Street Weaverville, CA, 96093 United States (map)

The Highland Art Center is thrilled to kick off our summer series of individual art exhibits with award winning artist Denise Granger Kerbs.  From an early age Denise’s raw talent was evident and her passion grew with every new medium she experimented with.  Growing up in a large family, Denise developed the ability to see the subtle details and nuances that make each subject unique.  It is that intuitive skill that lends so much depth to her work.  She finds herself compelled to seek out the smallest of elements in order to fully capture the essence and life of each subject.  A graduate of Chico State with a BA in Art and a CA Teaching Credential, Denise has a very full teaching schedule.  As a teacher she find a tremendous amount of inspiration in seeing the way art moves within each student’s unique perspectives!

Join us May 5th from 5-8pm for our art opening reception, celebrating this incredibly talented artist.  We are also thrilled to be offering an Alcohol Ink Workshop with Denise earlier in the day from 9 am – 4 pm.  Please swing by, call, or email for more information and to register for this exciting opportunity.

The Highland Art Center is located at 691 Main Street in historic Weaverville and is open 11-5pm Tues. – Sat.  For more information call 530-623-5111 or email info@highlandartcenter.org
