  Gingerbread Man Story

Do you know the Gingerbread Man? Learn how he came to be and what happened to him on his journey.

Louise Pierce will read the story and poem of the Gingerbread Man. When story-time is over the children will be able to decorate their own print copy of the poem.

After the story and craft time the playhouse-size Gingerbread House inside the gallery will be open. Each child will be given a box of crayons to sign their name to Santa’s list, help to decorate gift boxes for Santa’s helpers, and then showcase their talent to create a page in one of the waiting books. These books will be featured in the January 2011 Show, The Book As Art.

Children are invited to join in the fun on either Saturday, December 18, or Wednesday, December 22, from 11 a.m. to noon in Studio E directly behind the Highland Art Center gallery.

Story telling will begin promptly at 11 a.m. Don’t miss out... the doors will close as soon as the story telling begins! Children 8 years and under must be accompanied by a parent. Space is limited. For more information or to reserve a place for your child please leave a message at the Young Artist Project’s number: 623-3549.  We will return your call to confirm your reservation.
